Be aware of gift card scams that could come from an unsolicited call, email or text asking you to purchase gift cards to pay a debt, fine, taxes or another fee. Gift cards cannot be used for payments, refunded, exchanged for cash. Report suspected scams to local authorities, call toll-free at 1-877-FTC-HELP or Contact the Federal Trade Commission.
